Cat on a hot tin roof

A cat has shown up in our back yard, he or she is sitting on the shed, has stayed there most of the day. He/she is very friendly, I have gone out and petted her, Dtzy Mae keeps barking at her. He/she knows she is safe there and that Dtzy cannot get to her. I think Dtzy would want to just play with him/her. I fed him/her some of Dtzy Mae’s dry dog food, he/she ate it all. Could it be that now I will have the cat I have kind of always wanted?

Munch

In a week Munch will have passed away a year ago. What a great friend he was, a wonderful beagle, a good and loyal friend, a good pal to Smokie, Raskul, Schadoe and Missy. When we would get ready for walks, and Missy would get excited, she would lunge at his face and bark at him in her excitement and he would just let her do that. When I picked him up in the grocery store parking lot he was no bigger than my hand and he was all ears, we thought he was part bassett but he grew into his ears and looked like he was mostly beagle, although a big beagle. I remember how Smokie used to nudge him with his nose when we first started going on walks, he was definitely the new guy. He was easy to house break, did very well in the crate and did not have to stay in it long, it was no time at all that he could be loose in the house with the rest of the gang.

He was my little rock, never seemed to get sick, I thought he was going to live to be a very very old fella, but he passed at 11 1/2. I sure miss him! I got him just after my very first little one, Fessee, died.

Bill H’s dog

Dtzy sure wants to play with the Huff’s dog, I think he is warming up to her more and more. Funny to watch Dtzy, she will do this walk in reverse thing as she encourages Bill’s dog to play.

Stitches out

Missy got her 2 stitches out today after work. She was so cute, running around the office, ran on her own back to the room, then went through the middle doctor room and into the next room and out it’s door and then to the front reception room to the front door. All went easy.

Quiet for now

They are all quiet for a change, sleeping right now. If I decided to lay down and take a nap they would both come towards me and start nagging me. They will not let me take naps. We went for a very long walk today after Mass along the flood wall. It is a beautiful day. I even cut the grass.

Medications Missy

Missy is and has been now on meds for her coughing and apparently restricted breathing passages. She is doing really well with the medicine, it really cut down on her coughing sneezing. The last couple days she seems to have increased some in the coughing but not a lot. 

• 1/2 pill every 12 hours

Missy bump

Missy had a bump removed, it turned out to be okay, nothing to worry about. So everyone is in good health right now. We just got back from a walk, they are both sleeping. Gets her stitches out this week.

No word yet on Missy results

Forgot today that Dr. Alyson is at that clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I would not in all liklihood be getting call today, will probably get the call tomorrow.

• Great news, not cancer, not heart disease. However she has a respiratory illness, like COPD, could possibly be emphysema, really not sure what but we have discounted the really bad things and now we can try to treat her problem. I have started her on medicine and it had cut her coughing quite a bit. So I am hopeful.

Quiet at last

1:40 pm and it is quiet for a change, Dtzy is not bothering Missy, she must have gone to the bed to lay down. I look forward to these quiet times. Dtzy was outside a while and I think it kind of wore her out, also I guess these guys are used to sleeping in the afternoons when I am away at work.
